Weird discomfort in chest when swallowing ?

Anyone else get this ..........??

 

When I swallow I get a weird discomfort ...not bad pain, just discomfort in my chest.  Not right in the middle ...more over to the right behind my breast .....it almost feels as if it's in my breast .

I only get this when I swallow.  It's not difficult to swallow ....no problem with that.  Food goes down just fine.  I just get this discomfort ......it's really making me anxious wondering twhat it is .

I go for an endoscopy on Monday .  

Anyone ????

Don't get anxious. It makes it worse. I have the same thing! I go for my scope on Thursday. Do you have the lump in the throat sensation? This is a weird question but were anxious or depressed when it started? Tim

Hi Tim....I did have the lump in throat feeling but it got better .  It's just this weird pain....it bothers me because it's not right in the middle of my chest ...but instead behind the breast.

I swallow I feel it ........when I am not swallowing I don't feel any discomfort.

Nope I wasn't anxious at all before this......I am normally a very calm and stress free person.

This is making me a little anxious though cause the mind starts wandering and you tend to think the worst.  Well Monday is my endoscopy ....hopefully some answers will result.  Good luck with yours too.

I have been experiencing GERD symptoms and put on Prilosec and Zantac 150. Saw GI doctor who said symptoms sounded like IBS!? I know that I have occasional IBS-like problems but my current problem is in my upper abdomen, chest and the lump-in-the-throat thing. I also noticed the problems got worse when I started my period. All this is certainly a concern when he said the Prilosec and Zantac should be eliminating about 90% of my stomach acid. What then could be causing the chest discomfort, fullness, etc?? I don't go for my EGD until over 3 weeks from now. Unfortunately being a worrier doesn't help. Good luck with your scopes next week.
