ummm, I have problems with gurgling in my chest and upper abdomen, it can be gas but it also can be acid reflux which I have. Acid reflux can cause pain in the upper abdomen and up throughout your esophagus. But it is very treatable. Do you have burning in your chest? That is also a sign of reflux, but of alot of other things as well.

Hi, I'm a otherwise healthy 17 year old girl (I eat very healthy foods and never have health problems), but over the past month I started to get chest pains. It all started one Saturday when I was watching TV, all of a sudden I got a really sharp chest pain that lasted maybe 3 seconds, and a couple minutes later I got a second one. When I went to sleep, I could hear all these gurgly noises in me like there was bubbles from gas in my chest and abdomen. Well, I still have these chest pains, they're not as strong but they're in my upper chest area and I still have a lot of gas/burping. For awhile it was really bad, I had so much gas in me I could barely eat so I lost like 4 pounds and thats a lot because my weight is 112 pounds. Well, my doctor (who is a specialist in gastrointestinal area but i dont remember what kind of doctor its called) said she really does not think it is a heart problem and that is it gastrointestinal, like maybe a bacteria because I've been having diarrhea/really soft stools for a couple months. I took some lab tests but they still dont have the results, and on Friday I'm getting an upper endoscopy done. I would really appreciate your opinions on whether this could just be a gas problem like she thinks it is. The thing that makes me wonder is because I'm getting the pains higher up in my chest, so could gas really reach there? The pain is very brief and its not like Im in agony, but it scares me and it happens regularly throughout the day. I cant think of any reason why my heart would be unhealthy though...Thanks for reading this
