Hi All. My son has been dealing with nausea for a few weeks now. He is 16, and I am 99% sure that this is caused by worries and stress. His father has enrolled him in a new school and my son is getting very worked up about the change. Also, he has been working a lot of hours at his summer job, and getting burnt out. He is to the point now where he can hardly keep any food down, but throws up soon after eating. I had him take acidophilus supplement, and it did not make a huge difference, though he is also not consistent in taking it. He also is working with the chiropractor. He was going for his back, but there were problems in the areas that relate to stomach and digestion that are also being addressed.
I do not think this is a long term problem for him, but I am watching it closely. Meanwhile I thought you guys might have some more simple suggestions to help soothe his stomach and help him get over the hump, and keep some food down. He does not seem to have burning or pains in his stomach, but starting a few minutes after eating he will have symptoms ranging from bile filled burps to full out vomiting.
thanks for your advice.
