Every other acid blocker and PPI give me horrible side effects. I tried Pepcid AC and have no side effects and it is working. It is blocking most of the heartburn I am having. I see the GI specialist this week and am going to ask him to put me on the script
version.
At this point I am going to stay on it and hope it continues to help. I will likely work on getting my weight off and try some things naturally and than come off as the Pepcid AC after time, but for now I'm not going to continue in my misery if I can prevent it, and I can!

Halls,
Have you gotten the results of your endoscopy yet?

yes, but not the Bravo. The endoscopy results came as soon as I was awake after it was done. My esophagus looked good and my hiatal hernia is still small and doesn't appear to be much of a concern. I did have some polyps and he did a biopsy of them, but I won't get them back till Wed. along with the results from the Bravo. So, overall my endo was great and I was surprised.

PH probe. INstead of doing the 24 hr one where a line is put through your nose into your stomach, it is attached to the lower end of your esophagus and they put it there during the endoscopy. It is a temporary staple and dissolves and the PH probe/Bravo passes through your bowels and exit's naturally.

Halls, how long did it take you to heal with Pepcid?
