Have GERD and problems with head and neck...worried about brain cancer.

my stomach appears to be getting better, but a lot of the symptoms in my head aren't going away, my doctor says thats probably because of the amount of stress i had been feeling, but of course i still think i have brain cancer, but i was wondering if anyone else with acid reflux has ever been worried about brain cancer because of the way their head/neck feels

I'm sorry to hear this as well.  Maybe this will be reassuring: unless you have already been diagnosed with metastastic cancer of another organ, vomiting profusely, having double vision, falling over, slurring your words, and are experiencing some paralysis, the likelihood of your having brain cancer is essentially zero.  There's way more interesting things to worry about, but it seems like what you need is to worry less.  Definitely by all means, try to stay off those crazy health sites that want to "diagnose" you; no doc in their right mind would diagnose a patient based off an internet response.  If you've recently been seen by the doctor, have no alarm. 

i know that when my gerds and acid reflux acted up thank god i have not had any problem for two weeks.but when it did act up my neck was tight felt like someone twisted my neck and i would get head achs felt like i was running a fever .i would have little sharp pains on the side of my head.i just figurd it was stress due to lack of sleep my acid reflux and gerds .now that my stomach and acid reflux has not been bothering me my neck and head feel better and i have totally learn to just relax.i used to take valium that my doctor gave me and said try them and they did relax me and it did also help relax my stomach .i think i have things pretty much under control now and don't take anything .but carrot juice in the moring and my apple cider vinegar two glasses a day and  two table spoons of raw honey.the honey soothes my throat and is good for you.hope this helps you.some times these health foods help others and works fine and others they don't.just try and relax and tell your self this thing is not going to take control of your body stand strong and you take back the control of your body.and get back to good health.your the only one that can control that.if you let it take control you will be misserable for the rest of your life.your friend Rick

Rick--you ARE amazing! I was just having a bad moment (other than GERD)---and read your post---and you are right----I have to take control of my body-----I have to get my health back!
