I have psoriasis on my hand and feet and it hunts pretty bad. Last summer I came down with it all over my body. It started with puss like blisters and spread to red scaly spots. My dermatologist says it was most likely a reaction to Remicade and Prednisone (Since I had taken it for so long). I was taking the medication due to Ulcerative Colitis. I stopped Remicade immediately but my gastroenterologist would not take me off the pred. I had surgery in November to remove my colon and have been off pred for almost a month. Yey!

Anyway I still have the psoriasis on my hands and feet. The palms of my hands are sore and cracked and the same on one of the soles of my feet. It never seems to go away.

What are some ways to manage it? I use CeraVe hand cream, Aquaphor, cocoa butter and sometimes the betamethazone cream.

How do you all handle it? What are some tips to help it heal?

Ask your dermatologist if he thinks it's Palmoplantur Pustulosis - I've found that quite a few people with surgery due to UC have it (including me - I have an ileostomy).

It starts off as tiny sterile fluid filled blisters on the palms of your hands and soles of your feet, which then either burst or dry up into brown spots, then the skin flakes.

I've had it for about 15 years now - nothing much seems to help unfortunately, except keeping the area moisturised to try and minimise the dryness and cracking of the skin.

How do you keep yours moisturized?

I just use sorbolene cream to moisturise it. I've tried various steroid creams from my GP which do help to a certain extent but then it always ends up flaring up again so now I don't really bother. It is what it is and moisturing helps stop the soreness and cracking (esp on the soles of my feet).
