Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I usually spend time in the Crohn's Forum But I would like to get some info.
I have had a rough, rough, 9 years with my crohn's Disease. I cannot take 6-mp or imuran and all the TNFs I dont respond to. My doctor feels there is no need for surgery because i never had obstructions or E.R visits. I do have a string sign stricture but he told me "so what", I see this all the time. It just depends on certain things.
I was explained that the reason I am so complex and suffering is because i am one of the few who can't take 6mp AND don't respond to TNF's therapy. So i need a medication that works on a different mechanism. I thought to myself, what about Ustekinumab.
Anyone been on this medication? It is a Different type of p40 protein Il-23 and IL-12 medication that works on a different part of the Immune system.
I am praying this can be the one. Hoping the FDA gives it the Approval soon...
