Hi, I was diagnosed with psoriasis 13yrs ago, since then I
have tried both pharmaceutical &alternative medicine until I lost count of the meds and herbs I have taken
all with the aim of curing the psoriasis.
With the pharmaceutical medicines (which most have steroids)
the psoriasis would clear briefly but reappear in a worse state and at times
the meds simply didn’t work at all.
Finally I got fed up of seeing very little improvement on
the psoriasis and the doctors who kept putting me on the steroid meds.
That’s when I embarked on the alternative medicine journey.
After failed trial with herbs, cleansing, dieting and nutritional supplements.
Someone advised me to try slippery elm, pala indigo, shea butter and nivea
petroleum jelly.
For slippery elm I used to take one teaspoon full mixed in
0.25l of warm water morning and evening
For sheabutter I use grade A (coz its only grade Athat has
anti flammatory properties-this assist in moisturizing and reducing the itchiness.
Luckily for me I live where Shea butter grade A is produced naturally so it was
not hard for me getting it.
For Pala indigo; I was told to use the leaves but
unfortunately the guy whom I went to buy from only had the seeds. I would grind
the seed and mix it with nivea then I apply to my body.i must say it wasn’t a
good experience ,my body was so sore that I almost gave up but after 3 weeks I
noticed some improvement so I pressed on
and after six months I was cured!
It’s now 1 &1/2 yrs since then and am still psoriasis
free.
My heart goes out to the people who are suffering from this disease;
I have been there and I know the embarrassment and the discomfort people go through.
For me it was trial and error till I found what worked
Alternative medicine is not for the faint hearted ,but it’s
the best way to cure psoriasis .my advice is to be patient coz at times the
meds take quite some time before you see
results, some have the most unpleasant taste you’ll ever encounter and the oils
smell ‘not so nice’
So it all comes down to how bad you want to get rid of the
disease.Sorry for the long story, I thought I should share my experience; it
might be of help to someone .thanks
