Does any one know why METFORMIN would cause gas ?

Common metformin side effects include diarrhea, nausea, and gas. Have no idea why?

My sister takes it and had all the side effects from it. It gradually went away.

The only x mine went away is when i stopped it !

I wonder how metformin works in the intestines ?

I think your question re how this medication works in the intestine is beyond the scope of this forum. Perhaps your physician would be able to explain to you how it works.

Kitt - i think u are right and i cant wait for my l0 minute dr apt on l0/l - i have things written down to ask and i've looked up so many things on the internet for this question also and other questions.

metformin works for my husband/son, but me it has to give ME trouble - why not --
