Electromyogram EMG Need Info Osteoarthritis

I have to have an EMG done for carpal tunnel. Just wondering if anybody here has had this done and can share info with me. I also have osteoarthritis and my doc noticed one finger was swollen more than the others and starting to bend to the right. Can I expect the other fingers to do the same thing? My hands ache and tingle so much with carpal tunnel I never noticed the changes in that finger.

Osteo usually doesn't cause the fingers to swell or bend; your doctor will probably want to make sure there isn't something else going on there. If you aren't already seeing a rheumatologist, you might consider that in order to get a clear diagnosis.

Thanks for your reply. Rheumatologist is on the list of doctors I'm supposed to see. First I have to have the EMG for the carpal tunnel and then a bone density scan because my scan 5 years ago showed Osteopenia.
