Please if someone could help me understand this:
There is a prominent area of altered signal involving the lateral femoral condoyle anteriorly that measures approximnently 2.5cm there is a slightly less prominent finding involving the lateral femoral condoyle somewhat inferiorly and posteriorly. The findings are consistent with osteochondral lesions which could be post-traumatic or inflammatory in nature.
There is some mild increased signal at the insertion of the patellar tendon upon the anterior tibial tubersoity and there may be some mild increased signal within the tendon adjacent to its insertion.
Impression:
There are a prominent osteochondral lesions involving the lateral femoral condolye as described. There is also some increased signal at the insertion of the patellar tendon.
Thanks
