Drilling and absorbable darts used in OCD surgery of knee

Hey all,

Would like to hear from anyone who has had this done and can share their experience.

I had the surgery done Dec 6th, it started as arthroscopic and he was able to do drillling and one dart, but in order to get at the area he needed to open knee to get second dart in. So I am not allowed to weight bear for at least 6 weeks, I see him again on Jan 19th and have xray done then we can see if I can start physio and some weight bearing.

Painful and kind of scary..

So anyone who can offer advise would be great

Oh I hear ya Kitt,
I do feel better then I did 2 weeks ago....so we shall see doctor on Jan 16th..so we will find out if I can start toweight bear and maybe start some physio...cause right now I am not allowed to do anything.....

Cyndi- Have you had X-ray, MRI yet to see how healing is coming. My grandson just had this done on one knee with five of those inserts. Like you no weight bearing for six weeks and then MRI. Would like to hear how you are doing?
