You lost me with " don't know what is going on the codes were good but the machine kicked it out " I think perhaps you are referring to medical codes .
I am sorry that your surgery did not meet your expectations. I understand why you feel the way you do.
Kindly,
Kitt

Did your doctor explain the need for PT to your insurance company?
Sometimes they can explain it wrong with the diagnosis and mess it up with the insurance company.
For example, my mother suffered with a bowel blockage which caused her stomach to become swollen and sore for several days. The blockage cleared on it's on after three days, but the doctor told her to go get a CAT scan. When it was scheduled a nurse told the insurance rep that it wasn't urgent. So the insurance company denied her scan because she had one last year when she was hurting from something totally different.
Sometimes there's a miscomunication.

beats me what is going on...the place that was not reimbursed did not call my insurance company, but I did because of what the therapist said to me. it is all very strange. The guy from the insurance company said that the codes were the same ones that were being paid for before. my doctor was not consulted...so that is not it. it is possible that maybe there was a slight error in the codes or who knows what. the idea that i am stuck handling this and the therapist office didn't bother has me the most confused.
my therapist said that "medicare is watching her" but my insurance company says that is not true. I give up. who's on first?

well...even the head of the physical therapy place does not understand my insurance but was at least able to listen.
i'll tell you something ... everybody in the corporate world is breaking their legs to come up to the crapital region for their headquarters. there is a mass movement from New York City to the crapital region on foot (none of the corporations have gas money) because of the SUPER INTELLIGENCE OF THE DENIZENS HERE.
o, the crapital region is albany (our wonderous state crapital) and schenectady areas (home of generous electric).

Sounds terrible, sorry you went through such an ordeal, I hope everything was able to be figured out. I know this is an old post but I hope you were able to get the help you needed and the insurance company was able to get the correct codes they needed from the PT to get everything paid up for you.
If you had to pay for the therapy on your own, do you know about
how much it would have cost there? Some places are 'watched' because they're outrageous in their prices. I was going through a health site and found a cost estimator on it, I found it very helpful because it actually came very close to the cost of my grandfather's recent surgery for total knee replacement. I could put the bills side by side if I had it in front of me and the costs would be only a few dollars off. Really would have loved to have known about
this before the surgery, would have known what the bill was going to be before we got it. It even customizes to insurance, age and per-existing conditions to get the right cost information
I'll pass it on to you and I hope it's helpful to both you and anyone else who's wondering about
cost and insurance, I hope it helps!
