My mom (~60) does not have diagnosed arthritis yet, but she has difficulty walking for more than 5 minutes, getting up from the bed etc. So the movement part is a difficult piece. She has put on a significant amount of weight in recent past, although her food habits are not really bad. I suggested her some fitness, but because of the above mentioned issues, she really can not.
I wonder if folks here have any suggestions.
Swimming pools are out of question, because there is none in her vicinity.
She has looked into Yoga as one of the options, slow but steady. Anything else?
