Left shoulder arthroscopic surgery

Hello,

I had surgery Tuesday on my left shoulder. Originally, my surgeon discussed left shoulder arthroscopy with debridement of rotator cuff, subacromial decompression, distal clavicle excision. He did advise me that if there were any tears they would see muscle to bone.

The pain I felt in recovery after waking up was excruciating, burning, searing pain in armpit area and shoulder. They gave me the nerve block while I was in recovery. It took over an hour for the nerve block to kick in.

I am curious if more had to be done because of the amount of pain in the surgery area. I still get burning pain on the top of my shoulder/clavicle area. It's also starting to itch which drives me nuts.

My follow up is Wednesday and I get to see the photos and full details of what was done.

The pain at night is real! Borders on intense with burning feeling. My doctor allows me 2 of 10mg Lortab every 6 hours. The 2 at night takes the edge off but doesn't stop pain fully. I had samples of duexis I could take and that helped a lot the 1st 2 days. I'm trying to get the duexis called in. Right now my shoulder had a burning sensation (feels like an open scab being rubbed) and pain in top of my shoulder. My bicep muscle feels "cramped" like doing too many bicep curls. I'm icing my shoulder. I hopefully return to work Wednesday after my doc appointment.

Does anyone have any tips with setting up work area for typing all day?
