wrist pain after lrti surgury

I am about 10 months post op. After about 8 months post op I noticed a knot at the base of my wrist. The knot is getting bigger and more pain full as time goes by. Now I am having h hard time using my hand. I am a 61 year old male and this is my dominant hand. has anyone had any problems like this?

I went to the doctor yesterday and he said that I had a ruptured tendon. The tendon is more susceptible to rupture due to the surgery and the routing of the tendon. He said I would be fine without this tendon. That this is a tendon that would be harvested if needed for something else.
