HI Everyone, I just got the update on my MRI. Everything looks good except for my big liver and big spleen. I guess the call is Hepatosplenomegaly. Then Mild L5/S1 degenerative disc disease. (Arthritis) x-rays said the same thing about my hips. 

It's no wonder my tailbone hurts all the time. turn

I've been on healingwell for some time and have found it very helpfull. I'm 40 years old and sometimes I feel like I'm 80 years old. My son is 17 y.o. and had high functioning Autism. I'm usually on the Fibro forum.

Hey Hara,

Sorry for the new diagnoses, but it sounds like you got some answers to you pain. Hopefully now they can help you get on some meds to help. Gentle hugs.

Nanners, You are so great. I am kind of happy finding out why I was hurting. I go in for an open MRI on Tuesday next week, that one is on my head, neck and shoulders. I'm hoping I don't freak out with this open MRI.? yeah

Hello Hara,

Welcome to the Osteo Forum and we are so glad to have you here.

I have a herniation at L5-S1 plus osteo in other places.......but I survive most of the time.  You will find I whine a bit too. 

Sorry to hear about the Hepatosplenomegaly. Did your physician have a theory on why the liver and spleen enlargement ?

I have to tell you how special you are as caring for a special needs child takes one very awesome Mom.  I have a granddaughter with Asperger's.  Kudos to you.

You'll be ok Hara. My sister also can't use the closed MRI but has no problems with the open ones. I've seen you over on the chronic pain forum before. This forum doesn't seem to get alot of action. Guess osteoarthritis and chronic pain kinda go hand in hand. Are they checking into the liver/spleen issue anymore?
