Hi - My husband had an injection of Synvisc 3 days ago and has not been able to walk since. He is in extreme pain. Has anyone out there had this injection in the hip; and if so, did you suffer afterwards? His doctor was not in today, so he has to wait until tomorrow to speak with her.

I've not had Synvisc, but did have Hyalgan (a different brand of the same thing) for my knee several times. My doctor always injected Lidocaine first, so it felt better immediately and then by the time the Lidocaine wore off the Hyalgan had started working. It always kept me from pain for about six months. If your husband is in that much pain, I do hope he spoke with his doctor today because it doesn't sound right to me.
