Hi, I'm a new member. Had arthroplasty of carpal metacarpal had the surgery 1/14/15. Actually, ahead of schedule, for my recover. Took cast off, removed pin was told normally cast another 2 weeks but since I'm not too stiff, moving it some, they had a splint made up, I'm to start physical therapy next week. My question is, I've been rubbing in Palmer's cocoa butter & other moisturizers for dryness, but certain spots cause almost electric like pain to shoot down arm, is this normal? Is this due to the surgery? Will it get better?
I am kinda young for this precedure being only 53 but since I've been a dog groomer for 30 year it taken it's toll on my wrist so this was my best option to get back to my full capacity. So helpful advice would be greatly appreciated!
