Just wanted to write and let you know you are not alone..Im still searching for a diagnosis and still trying to figure out why Im dizzy. The only thing that lessens my dizziness is prednisone which im on right now. But because its a dangerous med I cant stay on it and fear what Im going to do when I have to go off it. I get ear fullness, ear pressure, sometimes ear pain, dizziness but not vertigo...i get a swimmyheaded motion sickness feeling...like after you read a book in a car...but it doesnt go away...and then I get nausea and can barely eat or sleep. Its horrible. My ears feel so full sometimes I can actually hear humming noises in them...like the sound of the ocean. I also get headaches at the back of the head usually, pressure around that area and my neck. My neck gets strange sensations...sometimes a burning sensation and that whole area just feels very inflammed. I get a twitching and tingling sensation on the left side of my chin. Sometimes my arms get like a growing pains type feeling. What else? When Im dizzy I just feel very weak. My neck cracks a lot, I feel flu like symptoms with no flu. And I notice I get hot flashes a lot. Thats pretty much everything I think. Oh, I feel like I cant breathe that well when Im dizzy...and sometimes feel a little lightheaded. I doubt this is allergy related but my doctor said i am allergic to animal dander and I do have a dog. No allergy meds work. The prednisone is the only thing that helps a little. I have see a neurologist, several ENTS, a psychiatrist, a tmj specialist, an infectious disease doctor, and accupuncturist, a chiropractor, a rheumotologist, eye doctor, etc. Nobody can come up with anything. I have had a brain cat scan, brain mri, cervical spine mri, cervical spine xray, auditory/hearing testing, all the bloodwork you can think of, sinus cat scan, eeg, ekg, heart ultrasound, halt monitor. If someone can help me at all that would be great. IM going crazy here not knowing what is going on. And yes Ive been tested for lyme like 10 times and dont have that either. Are MRIs reliable? Do they miss things? Im just wondering why nobody can figure out whats wrong when Im sure there is something not right. Could this really be from an allergy to my dog? I have been away from my dog for a day or two and didnt see much change. Does that mean its not from the dog...or that I need to be away from her for a longer period than that to test it out? someone wb! Thanks!
