Is it possible?

It is definately possible to develope allergies later in life. My wife never suffered allergies until just recently. You can perform a simple test with the help of someone else to determine what you are allergic to. First, your helper should place their hand palm down on the top of your head. You extend your left arm straight out and try to resist as they push down. If you can't resist, then you can precede with the allergy test. If you can't, then you should strike the knife edge of your hands togther for about 30 seconds and test again. This should restore your polarity. Yes, I know it sounds like voodoo, but it works.

For the actual allergy testing, put something in your right hand that you want to test. You can put it in a plastic bag and hold that in your hand as well. If you are allergic to the substance, you will test weak and not be able to resist. I was finding myself getting congested every night when I went to bed, and was wondering why. I noticed that my wife was spraying the bed with a lavendar spray. While I held the bottle in my right hand, I had my wife push down on my left. I had no resistance. By the way, it should not require much force on the part of the tester to push your arm down. They should be able to push down with only a couple of fingers. This testing method works for all types of allergies. It also works for testing dosages of medicines and vitamins to determine if you are can take a larger dose or not. Hope this helps.

No.  I learned it from a chiropractor that I found that used a modified version of NAET and Bioset to cure me of my allergies.  I see that I left out a key part of the technique however.  After testing with the palm down, another test should be taken with the palm up.  Palm down should register strong.  Palm up should register weak.  If not, then you strike the knife edge of the hands together to restore proper polarity.  Once polarity is restored, then you can check for allergies.  This is a common testing method used by many chiropractors and natural healers.  If I hadn't had it performed on me and witnessed the results.  I probably wouldn't believe it.  But it does work.

My story is that I have suffered allergies all my life.  When I was about 11 or 12 my brother and I would help our cousins pull weeds in the bean field of their farm in Hayburn Idaho.  After a few hours of that, I would have an itching rash on my back and be congested.  When I was in my 20's and at Fort Ord, a 12 hour nose spray would keep me clear for maybe one hour.  I received some kennelog shots for allergies, but when it took about three during the summer months, the doctor sent me to an allergy specialist where I was tested and set up with shots.  I was positive for about 49 different plants.  The shots helped for awhile, and then started becomming less and less effective.  In 1999 I stopped taking them.  I was just as miserable with them as without.  In 2003, a friend told me about her chiropractor.  She claimed that she had been cured and didn't need to take any pills.  I was skeptical.  My impression of chiropractors was that once they had you as a patient, they wanted to see you on a regular basis for the rest of your life. 

When she set me up with a couple of free visits, I decided why not.  I was again using 12 hour nose spray ever 1/2 to 1 hour.   Now, when I went to the chiropractor and was tested, I was found to have severe allergies.  I checked the results with my original test from years ago, and they were identical, except the chiropractor's testing showed me allergic to a few more substances. I didn't notice any improvement in my breathing, so I went back to the allergy specialist at Kaiser, thinking that the accupressure treatment hadn't worked.  He gave me a blood allergy test . . . and it came back negative.  I didn't have any allergies!  But, I did have a severe sinus infection compounded by the heavy use of Afrin nose spray. 

I will have to look for this book that you mentioned.  It sounds good.  Unfortunately, Kyle, my chiropractor, has moved to Utah.  He taught me his original accupressure treatment, and I have been able to clear myself of some of the things I'm allergic to.  When you have had allergies for as long as I have, your body thinks that that is the natural state of affairs.  It wants to revert back.  That first year, I needed ten treatments.  The last two years I've only needed three.  So, progress has been made.

I see that you went through the Afrin nose spray ordeal too.  I would advise anyone not to ever use it.  I have had allergies all my life also and can remember a couple of times getting desperate because I was so stopped up and using it.  I would get addicted to it, use it again and then get the rebound effect.  A couple of times I would have to take an injection of Celestone (a steroid) and my allergist at the time would tell me that I absolutely had to not use the Afrin and give the Celestone 24 hours to get into my system.  Those were 24 miserable hours.  I can still remember and I did it more than once.  That was when I was in my 20's.  I would never touch Afrin now.
