Hey everyone, I am feeling so frustrated. I am so tired of dealing with this shortness of breath all the time and I feel like it's been so long of it. For those who don't remember I got sick in February and had had some mild breathing issues before that but never used meds and hadn't wheezed since I was a small child. Ever since I have had worse breathing problems. I am so concerned, I just want to get to a level where I am functioning at a livable level. What do you think is going on? Here are my symptoms
Shortness of breath which is present at rest or exertion, worse in morning, best in evening.
High pulse whenever checked
insomnia, wake up at 3 to 4 am and have trouble getting back to sleep.
lowered appetite loss of weight
exhaustion, shortness of breath with exercise
cough with clear mucus
occasional foam in mouth
wheezing, especially in am, often relieved by abuterol
sickness is a big trigger
My chest x ray looked ok, a cat scan looked ok, and my pulmonary tests were good. Does this in anyway rule out things like chronic bronchitis or COPD, which is a big fear? I used to smoke for about 6-8 years but not alot, maybe 1/4-1 pack a day, and then a month without, ect. And I haven't smoked in ten years and i'm only in my mid thirties.
I am so tired and frustrated of not being able to function and take care of my kids. I have gotten a little better and have a little more energy here and there but it feels slow and I worry about how long it is taking to get better and then going into flu season again. We are thinking about upheaving our whole lives just to try to move somewhere to see if it gets better, but i'm just confused. Thanks for listening, just a tough morning and the insomnia isn't helping.
