Constant hives with no relief! Please help.

I'm a 38 year old female suffering from hives for over a year now. I have been to many Dr.'s and been tested for every disease that may be the cause. All my tests are normal. I have had the allergy tests with all normal results.  I have been placed on every known antihistamine since this began and had no relief.  Does anyone know what is wrong with me?  The slightest touch to my skin starts the itchy hives, I can't sit or stand for long periods of time. Anywhere my body touches a surface for more than a few minutes turns into hives.

I feel like I'm going crazy. I have not gotten a good night sleep since this started.  Does anyone else have this problem?  If so, have you found a way to manage your condition?  I am open to all advice or opinions anyone is willing to give me.

hello, I react to many things, I do know a little about reactions. It sounds like as the moisture builds up on or in the layers of your skin ( moisture that contains what you are reacting to.) you develop the hives. you can test your self as to what you are reacting to. If it is the water, say chlorine, fluoride, or maybe corn syrup ( corn syrup has been added to everything for the past few decades causing many reactions. ) years ago before corn syrup I suffered from an entire body rash from coconut syrup in the same foods corn syrup is now in. Emergency rooms were full of people with the same problem, Doctors didn't know what caused it nothing worked to get rid of it. I solved the problem through process of elimination research, found out about the coconut syrup and YUP didn't eat any of it any more and rash was gone. Yay! try staying away from things that have the same thing in it that your eating, waring, drinking. become a detective. Help others to find the answers to their problems too. Some foods causing reactions are: nightshade plants, corn syrup, citric acid (made from corn not citrus fruit) it's in everything, the dye on your pillow case or sheets can cause welts and swelling, check your environment for things from china there are lots of things being recalled from China foods, clothes toys it is a serious problem. You, we need to help discover the cause of our problems we know our bodies and what we feel or don't feel as soon as we feel it.

I wanted to thank all of you for your responses. I took all this info with me to a new specialist and asked the Doc if this could be me. Believe it or not, I think the Doc has found my problem. I have a bad tooth infection this has killed the nerve on my tooth and pushed the Bacteria into my blood stream. I am scheduled for an ecocardiogram to see if I have a heart infection. I was placed on antibiotics 2 days ago and my hives are finally gone! I'm so excited! I really hope this is the answer. My Doc told me that a lot of people who suffer from hives may have a bacteria infection that is laying just under the radar and going undetected. She explained that is why the antihistamines are not working for me.
