Struggling with my diagnosis of Asthma

I have been bullied since i was 5 years of age.... that is Why I am nervous of taking it in front of people....

Philipians 4:13 "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." You need to use your inhallers when you have trouble. When you have an attack You DO NOT have enough oxygen and it CAN lead to death. I tell you this because I care. I was like you. I knew I was having an attack, my inhaler wasnt working, I was on a city bus. I dragged myself onto the bus to go to the Hospital. I started blacking out on the bus that goes to the hospital. I knew another one was coming, I was going to pass out and it wasnt going to be good. God watched over me that night. I stumbled into the ER and a guy in scrubs was there. He looked at me and asked if I needed help. God sent him to ask me I swear. I Handed him my inhaler then I blacked out. I am not sure how things went, but I think he caught me (and he was cute uggg). All I know is by the time I came to he was gone, I was in a wheelchair, vitals were already being done at same time by more than one nurse and oxygen was on me. WHen they semi stabilized me they took me to the room and respitory was already there. I was told if I came in 30 minutes later, I would of died and they could not do anything about it cause of how far gone I was. Please dont let it get as bad as I did. I made a mistake, and I share the story so others can realize gambling with asthma is gambling with life.

Ah come on Sarah, are you really thinking that God let you get asthma?
Look around you how much air pollution do you see or smell? Everything we use is a spray created by man.
Did God create perfume...no man did and i hate it so when I smell a lady before I see her..
But thinking about it it would be easier for me to blame God for my partially blindness, asthma and fibro. But in reality I was born partially blind, my asthma was triggered by a major upper respiratory infection. And the fibro was caused by a stupid, ignorant B!!!!who was talking on the phone and reared ended me going 45mph
But at least my God has allowed me to live and gained from these things.

Please when you need to use your inhalers, please use them, it's a medicine to help you.
I use mine out in public when I need to as it would be better than being in the
emergency room. cold air and smoke will usually trigger my asthma as well,
ask your doctor about how to use these inhalers properly..
You got lucky to make it thru last winter...

Nickel allergy is one of the most common causes of allergic contact dermatitis — an itchy rash that appears when your skin touches a normally harmless substance.

Nickel allergy is commonly associated with earrings and jewelry for other body piercings. But nickel can be found in many everyday items — from coins to necklace clasps, from watchbands to eyeglass frames.

Nickel allergy can affect people of all ages. You may develop nickel allergy after a single exposure to nickel or after repeated or prolonged exposure. Treatments can reduce the symptoms of nickel allergy. Once you develop nickel allergy, however, you will always be sensitive to the metal and should avoid contact.

If you have nickel allergy, an allergic reaction usually begins within 12 to 48 hours after exposure to a nickel-containing item and may persist for two to four weeks. The features of contact dermatitis usually appear only where your skin came into contact with nickel, but they may appear elsewhere on your body. Signs and symptoms of contact dermatitis caused by a nickel allergy include:

* Rash or bumps on the skin
* Itching, which may be severe
* Redness or changes in skin color
* Dry patches of skin that may resemble a burn
* Blisters and draining fluid in severe cases

Sweating at the point of contact with nickel may worsen the symptoms.

Hey Sarah,

How'z your cough now? Feeling better? Very true, all of us are sailing in the same boat :)
Let's not lose our heart. This is nothing. There are so many people on this earth who's suffering more than us. Compared to them we should thank god that we are able to manage with our asthma.
Let's share more tips and suggestions to bring our asthma in control. Even I am suffering from cough for last one week. That's the reason why I could not reply to your post immediately. But I'm feeling better now. Thank God :)

Sarah, do you have alot of heartburn?
My asthma is irritated by my acid reflux. I have severe GERD and acid spills over into my lungs causing asthma and laryngitis.
My main symtom is a cough that won't go away even if I use my inhaler, nebulizer, or steroid pill.
I have a nasty taste in my mouth most of the time and several cavities filled due to acid eating up my teeth.
It's just a thought... but if this sounds like you please get checked by a GI.

hi sarch i have asthma when i was 3 years of age just in thursday have a very bad attack and off to hosptal and i tryed useing my inhalers did not work was in hosptel over nite still in shock after it bk at home now from mark

Hey my asthma is ok at the moment.......

Except for yestorday at dancing.... My thort was a bit tight and I was just about going to use my blue inhaler but I decied to have a drink of my water first...... and my water helped....

I am still taking my brown inhaler and I am still carrying them arround with me where ever I go.....

about 1 month ago I went up to wellington for a dance revison camp and we went over some of the old dances and lernt about 9 new dances......

I brought my inhalers with me when I went up to wellington.... I had to use my blue inhaler once when I was at the dance camp......

My friend gave me one of her peak flows to keep so I can keep an eye on my breathing......

Well I am going to go now....
