Hi I am 34 years old I had my first asthma attack at three years old this condition runs deep in my family and is passed down from generations of suffers asthma is very easy to control but is very unpredictable I have went the last 2 years without a single attack by watching my diet exercising moderately and practicing yoga yes believe it or not it really works anyone who have never tried this type of treatment should a least try it for at least a month this also is very good treatment for other health issues I would like to learn all about this condition and new methods of control as everyone knows it is almost unpredictable I would like to share all that I have learned of this disease and will be posting quite frequently here is one website that I have found to be very helpful www.dealingwithasthma.com

I have had asthma all my life. mad Sometimes it gets better and sometimes gets out of control. I went for years with almost no problem. Then in my 20's I was in hospital many times with BAD attacks etc. Then I had allergy shots for 7 years. I was ok until about 12 years ago, I went to Florida and about croaked. The humidity, pollen, molds etc. there about put me under..my friend had to call an ambulance and I spent 3 weeks in hospital. Anyway, I was put on Prednisone, and 3 inhalers...nebulizers, oxygen etc. If you go on Prednisone is makes you feel great, but be careful and don't stay on it for long if you can help it. I was on it on and off for 10 years and started to get serious side effects...I am off now...and having problems with my body adjusting to being off of it. My best inhaler is Symbicort, and Handihaler...these two work the best for me. I am pretty stable now..use oxygen some...any questions, let me know. I now also have COPD and emphasema (from smoking)..so take care of yourself.

Hi ,

I have been suffering from asthma for last 2 years and asthma really sucks. The other night, I couldn't seem to breathe right. My friend kept making me laugh a lot. I took too much of my inhaler, and got the shakes, and had a hard time sleeping.

Just thought I would share...most of the time my asthma is under control but it reared its ugly head in the last few days...

My asthma was irritated by my gerd. I had acid reflux surgery last week and I'm no longer coughing all the time. :)

Hey Denny,

I had gone to the hospital for a check. My asthma flared up again. I don't what has caused it to flare up. The doctor has taken some tests. Just waiting to see what he says.

The doctor gave me the results of my asthma tests. It turns out that my asthma is caused by some kind of allergy. What allergy causes my asthma to go up is still unknown. That is up to me now to find out what is causing the flare up of my asthma.

Hey All,

My allergy has caused because of pets. Pet's dead skin flakes, urine, feces, saliva and hair can trigger asthma it seems. I have a cat at home. So the doctor has adviced me to be away from my pet which is very sad.
