I can sympathise with your husband as I know how it feels. I get the exact same reaction to chicken, I haven't had kentucky fried for years, or Supermarket BBQ chicken etc.
What I can eat though is chicken that has been raised without having any hormones or antibiotics pumped into, free range only. I do not know why this makes such a huge difference, but it does.
I have the same reaction to certain antibiotics as I do to chicken and I just wonder if there are small traces of similar antibiotics in chicken that have been raised battery style.
Have you tried free range chicken?
I want to let you know that there are others out there like your husband who have this same horrible reaction to chicken and have opted for the free range variety chook. If this is not the solution for you then I hope you find an alternative, please reply and let me know how it's all going, people think I make it up half the time about the reaction I have to chicken and even the doctors don't take me that seriously, I guess what can they do if it hasn't been researched.
