Antibiotic Allergies

This doctor might have been frustrated with what to do but at the same time,
it was very bad of this doctor to not listen to you, try searching for a new
doctor. I hate it when doctor's won't listen it showed an utterly lack
of basic compassion for you. Write this doctor a letter and tell her she
was wrong and out of line.

doctors never listen! it is very frustrating. i told them for a year that i was in pain and nobody would listen, told prime care doc, rheumatist, surgeon, etc. this was my foot and ankle pain...but why do we have to wait for a year.

i am very very allergic to drugs. it is definitely my worse allergy. z pack left me in a fetal position for about a month. i had terrible gas pains. took gas x type stuff and align and it finally went away.

don't know why doctors are so mean and nasty. my doc didn't even call me back about my reaction. my gastroenterologist did help me out. i could not eat my thanksgiving dinner but did get out that day to visit friends. these doctors don't seem to care or don't realize how messed up we can get. also missed a couple of pot luck parties. this went on for a month. what a drag.

I refuse to ever see a PA for my problems again. I had a UTI and she prescribed me Bactrim. Every day I took it, I was getting sicker and sicker - it felt like someone was stabbing repeatedly in the gut. I even called a couple times and she insisted that this was normal. I finally looked it up online and found out that Bactrim contains sulfa. I am severely allergic to sulfa and what makes it so bad is that is was on my chart!

I'm sorry to hear that this is happening to you. How frustrating!

Joy - Well, don't use alcohol-based hand sanitizers if you can possibly use soap and water. There's a new study showing noroviruses aren't killed by alcohol. You wouldn't want to end up with gastroenteritis.

Have you ever tried Garlic Capsules? Garlic is a natural antibotic and if taken daily can help your immune system fight off bugs. Also echinacea drops in every glass of water is also a great immune system booster.

No you don't smell with the capsules only real garlic. Not sure about blood thinner though, have never heard that about it but could be so. My herbalist advised me to take it when I was really sick last year to boost my immune system and amazingly I didn't even get a cold. However that could have been a coincidence too.
Bummer about the echinacea that really helps me too.
