Sinus infection to the gums

Hi, I have Chronic bronchitis with sinus problems. For the last four years I have green stuff coming out of the nose, and hhave been suffering from fatigue. The thing that worries me most though is that my gums have gone a bit mushy, and everytime green stuff comes out I feel pain in the front teeth. I have also noticed that there are two dark spots above the front teeth. My thinking changes too when the infection gets very bad, does anyone have any experience with something like this?

Welcome to the forum, Iman.

Some people have tooth roots that are extremely close to the maxillary sinuses. I would have my dentist take x-rays and also see an ENT doc. If antibiotics don't work you may need sinus surgery to open the sinuses so they drain. I had that. But see your doctors!

Thanks for answering! I have taken tons of antibiotics already. I have done a ct scan but it just shows that I have a lot of fluid up there. I have to go in for an mri soon. I hope that will show me exactly whats going on.

Hi Iman,

I have had sinus and dental problems for years. The pain in phenomenal! Sorry to hear you have similar issues. Both my dentist and oral surgeon have taken infections out of my gums, always in the areas that are affected by sinus problems. I stopped having to go to the dentist for sinus trouble when I started using a netti-pot. Daily flushing with saline, and sometimes peroxide or a small drop of cider vinegar works for me. Recently I stopped the regimen for three days, and now am dealing with my first sinus infection in at least seven months. It definitely sounds as if you need to see a doctor and a dentist. Write in and let us know how you are doing.
