Ahh-choo. Spring season has brought out my allergies big time!! I thought I was getting the flu. Dr says I have full blown hayfever. She said to try Zertec at bedtime. She gave me a shot of steroid and said come back next week for another. How are you all coping thru this bad pollen season? redface
Moving to a cave sounds like a good idea.

Caves have mold! :( lol I take my Zyrtec and Singulair and hope for the best. There are preventative measures you can take to help make allergy season a bit more bearable. Keep the windows closed, limit your outside trips, brush your hair and shake your clothes before you come into the home, brush your pets before they enter (this will help remove pollen), keep the moisture content in your home high. Moisture will help dampen down pollen and other allergens, use a Hepa filter on your vaccum and furnace/AC unit, dust AFTER you vacuum (vacuuming stirs up pollen, dander, dust etc) and use a saline nasal spray after coming in from the out doors.

I do have ac on. I use an air cleaner in the bedroom. Good idea to use saline spray. My old Dr said to mix 1/3 of a tube of Bactroban in a saline mist bottle and squirt in the nose 3-5 times a day to prevent sinus infections. Bactroban is a prescription antibiotic for wounds. OTC antibiotic ointments won't work, they won't dissolve. Bactroban comes in generic. I thought for sure I had the flu, as I felt horrible.

Same here, sneezing, coughing, bronchitis. Have been on an antibiotic for the left ear for 6 days and now an antibiotic and cortisone along with a second steroid for both ears and bronchi. Sneeze, itch, sneeze. (I may go back on allergy shots for trees, grasses, and dusts.)

I have a friend who says that "if it ever walked or four legs or was green during its life cycle, I am allergic to it." True case of inherited
gene allergy.

Lovely spring weather, ah, well.

Same here! I even skipped class yesterday (which I never do because of illness). Sneezing and coughing like crazy, covered in eczema, with a horrid sinus infection the week before spring break. On steroids and tons of antihistamine crap and still little relief. Breathing would be nice about now! My outdoorsy roommate went on a hike yesterday and came home tramping all the yucky pollen into my safe zone. Yikes!
