Not a big problem, eye twitching, thoughts on reasons for it

 

Hi,

I've had eye twitching regularly, from not having it at all much in the past, occassionally when I was younger, but don't remember having this as much as I have had recently, over the last 5 days. On and off, from not that long after I'm awake, and lasts on and off during the day, underneath the left eye.

Someone mentioned it could be an allergy to tree pollen. Others have mentioned stress, fatigue, lack of sleep, eye strain, vitamin deficiency.

I am very hot, quite often, due to the rise in temperature at the moment, I never normally experience the eye twitching, though it is something I have had before, don't remember having it so often over this space of time.

Any ideas welcome? Thank you :)

Thank you for your kind reply. It is strange how this has suddenly started on monday and continued since, I think it is less frequent now than the beginning of the week, but still many times, if I counted them, that would be interesting, if not somewhat obsessive, maybe I shouldn't go there :o (I am kind of joking reference the counting)

I don't usually have physical ailments (touch wood), for me it is rare, which might be part of the reason I am thinking about it more, and partly because I am actually glad of something to take my mind off the usual everyday. This does make me sound ungreatful for my health, yet I am not ungreatful of my health. I understand that if I did have a serious problem, then it would be serious, and I don't think in my case this is. I am intrigued though, how the body is responding, in an unusual way for me.

Thank you Chartreux...I know I am making more of this than what it really is (for me) I'm in no pain or discomfort really with it, I feel a bit guilty for posting. Though yes, I could check it out with doctor, maybe I will if it doesn't go away.

I think if I was more contented, then I wouldn't be complaining so much (maybe complaining isn't too bad a thing to do though sometimes) I could be more greatful, maybe I could work on this :)

Thank you, for your reply Red_34, the twitch seems to have gone! Today it doesn't seem to be around, so I think it may have disappeared, it could be an allergy. Hasn't lasted as long as yours did, but longer than a usual twitch.
