 i dont know whats wrong!! for the past couple of months i keep having crackles in my chest and bad wheezing. now i am starting to cough intensly and i dont understand wat is wrong!! ive been to the doctor several times but he seems (not too smart) n put me on theese pills that didnt work at all..in fatc maybe even made it worse. my parents think i am just "over-reacting"..but i really dont know what to do its so frusturating!! i am only 16... can i go to the doctor alone? or do i need a parent to go with me because i am a minor?? because no one is helping me, when i rele do need help

also... i was tested and they said i do not have asthma..so thats even MORE confusing!! but i used to have it when i was young...so i dont know!!

You need to go to another doctor.  And sounds like you should have a chest x-ray, sounds like pneumonia to me that's what happens to my daughter when she has pneumonia.  Do you have any fevers (you don't always with pneumonia).  But get yourself to another doctor.  Yes take your parents with you!

My three boys and I all have asthma. And I just got over pneumonia and my chest also "crackled."

I agree with the others; you...

*Need a second opinion with another doctor (preferably an asthma/allergy doctor)

*Will probably be given a chest X-ray

*Do need to take a parent with you

I know some people "out-grow" their asthma. Better safe than sorry, tho. Please post again and let us know how you are!

i dont have fevers but i often feel fatigued. i will go to another doctor and see if he knows what up. thanks for all your support it means a lot to me!!! one more question though.. if i do have pneumonia and i wait any longer what could happen????
