Perfume allergies

Hi Rocky I have mild perfume allergies. If I go into one of those stores at the mall that sells perfumes or candles, I find it hard to breath, I start sneezing like mad and my eyes get all teary. I avoid those stores like the plague! If you find yourself having an allergic reaction to these scents and you are stopping up, have you tried Benedryl yet? I personally can wear the stuff but I avoid heavy doses on other people as much as possible.

I am allergic to purfume. One whiff can cause a terrible migraine and stuffy nose and pain in my sinuses. When my daughters were in their teens they liked to wear something called Fendi which literally made me sick, I tried to joke and called it Ofendi......now that they are adults they are sorry they insisted on wearing it. The only solution I have is to avoid scents and anything from all soaps, dryer sheets, lotions, candles that have purfume. I hold my nose through the purfume section of dept. stores, my husband wears nothing scented and I just get sick when I encounter anyone who lays it on strong.

My allergist says that my allergy to dust mites makes me sensitive to perfumes. I can survive the stuffy head and red eyes. It's the pains on the sides of my chest that worries me. Any kind of antihistimine gives me PVCs. It is to the place where I dread going out to eat or to the movies. Someone always sits beside me drenched in some kind of musk...

There is ths really cool technology for w hen you go out in public and have bad allergies, I absolutely LOVE it and take it with me everywhere! It's called the fresh air buddy! It is absolutely amazing!
