hey guys, im new here on healingwell.com. i was researching through the net about eye lumps and i accidentally log on to this site and i read posts of numerous people having eye prblems like me. i thot i was the only one hus having sum problems with my eye. my problem is , i have multiple sty in my eyes, at first it started in my eyelid, then another one develop in my lower eyelids and then it was really huge, then another one develop in my left eyelids ,. it was really horrible because my left lower lid in my left eye was super inflamed and it was not proportion with the right lower lid, it was like monster eyebags, and super swell . it was really different to look at, and my schoolmates and my classmates in skul are all asking about it, they were so shocked. im really embarassed, my self-esteem is way down low. so i went to an opthalmologist and the diagnosis was multiple hordeolum, and he required a minor surgery for it becoz antibiotics can't get it healed, it's super resistant. so i undergone incision and curretage. and i can say that it was better than before but it is still visible,,and it is still larger than my other eye so to keep it proportion with my other eye, i always smile when i talked to people so that it will luk like just an eyebag. i can't look into people's eye directly. my doctor told me that all that is left with my eyes are capsules, the pus was gone, all i have to do is to put hot compress in it, but it's like a month now after the surgery, but the capsules are still there and im really worried. i thot after the surgery , it will be totally gone. im really depressed. any doctors here, i really want sum proffesional advice. im so doomed.. i think my eyes will be like this forvever..

Hi, welcome to Healingwell smile I am so sorry that you are going thru this! Unfortunately, we have no doctors here. We are an online support group for people like yourself and we offer each other support, couragement, advic and hope. We are not medical professionals, not even the moderators. But, how old are you? If you're old enough, you can always look into plastic surgery if your eyes are way out of whack. Maybe a plastic surgeon would be able to fix up your eyes some.

There may be other procedures that can help besides surgery - ask a plastic surgeon and a cosmetic dermatologist for recommendations. I have had a stye in my lower right eyelid for over a year, so I know what you are talking about with the funny looks, etc. The opthalmologist told me mine was too big to do surgery, so I just have to wait for it to go away on its own (which it isn't doing). hey razzle, thanks for replying. really? u had a sty too? actually, i just had eye surgery 2 months from now , the pus was gone. my opthalmologist told me that it was all capsules, i shud just do hot compress. there's an improvement, it's not that big like before but still it is still bigger than the other eye a bit. that's why i have to smile always so i can pretend that it was just eyebags,heehe. but im too tired of this. it my first to have sumthing like this. i mean, im not used to it. before my skulmates are looking at me becoz they think that im pretty but now theyre staring at me but with another reason,it's becoz of my sty. they all pity, i used to look good but now ive been really cursed..... anyway, so wat happened to ur eye? is it gone already?

hi sherry, thank u so much for taking sumtym to respond to my post. im 18 years old now, and i can't do plastic surgey becoz my opthalmologist didn't advice me to have. all he told me was to just put hot compress to it until it's gone,.. and it's bin two months now, and still it's not normal like before. well, i have to admit, it did decrease in size and is not swelling. but it still have capsules inside and it's taking too long to come off. i was wondering how long will be like this... i really can't stand this....

Yes, I still have the large stye on my eyelid (it first appeared in January 2007). I've had several styes come & go on the other eyelids, but this one doesn't seem to want to go away. Keep up with the hot compresses - who knows, maybe it'll eventually go away for you smile

well im really hopeless, i think it will not go away. so u didn't do anything with it?

My only option so far has been hot compresses - the doctor wouldn't do anything else. And I haven't seen much luck from the hot compresses either. However, that said, I do have a lot of problems with my immune system and that's probably why mine won't go away. So keep up with the hot compresses, and who knows, maybe you'll have better luck than I have smile

really? what other problems do you have? how old are you? are you shy because of it? how do you manage it around other people?
