High pollen count in Ny effecting eyes

My eyes have been acting really weird this week since the pollen count went high in my area. Is there anyone out there who could help me with this? I get weird eye sensations, sticky, burning, blurry, sparks in the dark when i enter a dark room. Anyone else get funny things going on in their eyes during high pollen season? I am really scared sick. Thank you!

I've had a lot of strange symptoms from allergies affecting my eyes. Have you tried over-the-counter antihistamine eyedrops? Ask a pharmacist for recommendations. Also, Zaditor is a mast cell stabilizer eye drop that just has been approved for over-the-counter sale, and it is supposed to help prevent eye allergy symptoms when used prior to exposure (for example, start using it daily 2 weeks before the start of the pollen season you are most affected by). A cool wash cloth laid over your closed eyes may help reduce the swelling and discomfort also. You might want to find an Allergist or good eye specialist to discuss your symptoms with as well, just to make sure they are allergy-related and not an indication of something else (such as an infection).
