Hello all~ I am looking for a better understanding of Mono. I had mono when I was 12...now I am much older.. But I was dx with Mono again by one dr, and another dr said it was fibro. I have swollen glands behind right ear, armpit and tender groins... I mono spot tested Neg. but I tested high for IgG, but normal for IgM levels...I am VERY tired and I get "fuzzy"...I call it "Mono head"....There seems to be some confusion if this is an "old" or "active" infection....

Mono can lead into Chronic Fatigue and then go in Fibromyalgia, sorta like a series of events and it's true,
You can check this out on www.medhelp.com could be .org I'm not certain and If you check more into the
Fibromyalgia you'll get more answers, I also had Mono at 17 yrs old and missed a month of College Classess.
and I was dx'd with Fibro just two years ago...

Also check under Auto-Immune diseases as it's an auto immune...
