Help!
Sniffing
stuffy
sneezing
coughing
wheezing
itchy ears
itchy throat
itchy, burning nose
Asthma's acting up
I'm so frustrated!
I'm on year round zyrtec, advair, and have a nebulizer.
I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle!

I have allergy covers on my pillow and mattress. I use a hepa filter in my bedroom where I spend most of my at home time. I use a filter mask on really bad days. I have a special vacumn that uses water to trap the dust. I don't
open my windows to outdoor odors. I'm inside 95% of the day.
For two days I've smelled dust everywhere I go. I never knew you could smell dust, except before the rain, but that's how I describe the odor.
I can't take allergy shots because I'm allergic to them (asthma attacks). Go figure!
The doctor told me I was allergic to every tree and grass in my area, except the beech tree.
I can't get near the detergent aisle in grocery stores, because I start sneezing. I don't wear perfume or go near someone with perfume. Ditto to smokers also.
The fall and spring is my torture time.

So you pretty much have to live in a plastic bubble huh? I'm so sorry that you are having all these issues.

I have to spray the nebulizer version of Budesonide (Pulmicort Respules) up my nose to combat my allergies - regular nasal steroid sprays don't do anything for me. This is in addition to nebulizing the Budesonide, and using Claritin daily. Claritin doesn't clear up my nose either unless I take 10mg every 6 hours. You might consider asking your doctor about
increasing your Zyrtec, and if an H2 histamine blocker such as Zantac would help (some allergy symptoms can be from type 2 histamines in addition to or instead of type 1 histamines; Zyrtec & other related antihistamines commonly used for allergies only block type 1 histamines). I too can smell dust, have been able to for years. I can't do the allergy shots either because my immune system is too compromised. Allergies suck!

Red-That's me bubble girl!
Razzle- I take 300mg of Zantac for my GERD every night.
What makes it all so bad is I can't take pseudophrine for stuffy nose now, because I just started thyroid meds!
The last twenty- four hours has been the worst.
From 2am to 4am last night, I coughed and wheezed.
I got to work today and had an asthma attack at 10:00. Then had another at 2:00.
Got home at 4:00 and had another and pulled out my nebulizer!
Just an hour ago I had another that made me sick to my stomach.
If this keeps up I'll have to go get a shot!
