Cyclosporine for chronic uticaria

Hi all I have had chronic urticaria for almost 9 years now no one has yet found out what I am alergict to or why I brake out every day sad

I have been in and out of hospital with anaphylactic shock so much they know me at the hospital

I went to see a new doctor at the royal in Glasgow and he has told me I can try a drug called cyclosporin there are a lot of side efects to this and I was wondering if any one has tried it or is on it I have had a long hard think about it and if it means I can get back to my life I think I am willing to give it a go.

I would love to hear from anyone that has tried this or is on it.

They prescribe Cyclosporine for various conditions. Yes this is a serious medicine and it lowers the immune system. Allergic reactions are an immune response. You lower the immune system and the allergic reactions tame down. You might also want to ask this question on either the Crohn's forum or the Ulcerative Colitis forum. They prescribe this med as a last resort for these conditions. However, be sure to mention that you have neither of these diseases but just trying to find out more one on one info for Cyclosprine.
