Viral Throat Infection/Sinuses taste blood?

Hi all i have been to the doctor today as i could taste blood in my mouth and wasn't sure on where it was coming from... Have been suffering from sinus trouble for the last 3 week's.

Doctor had a look at my throat and said it was a viral throat infection... Is it normal to taste blood in my mouth because it's driving me crazy... They has only been a few time's where i have actually seen my spit like a redish/pink coulor but not full blown blood, happened a few minute's ago now the taste is normal again.

Also it feels like my breathing is suffering also i have been having bad acid reflux but can sinuses affect that?
