New to this forum/question about sinus pressure

Hi,

I usually post and reply in the anxiety forum but I have a question concerning my allergies/sinuses. A week ago Wednesday I woke up with pressure behind my eyes and along my eyebrow. Not so much pain although there was some the majority was a pressure feeling. Where I live we had three weeks of very warm and windy weather and our pollen count was extremely high so I just assumed it was my sinus allergies. Last Sunday it seemed to be getting worse so I went to the doctor Monday and he gave me an antibiotic and nasal spray/Flonase.

Today was my bi-annual check up with my allergist (I go every spring and fall) and she said it wasn't a sinus infection and she didn't suspect it was my allergies because i really don't have any other symptoms. So she told me to do the sinus irrigation and take Musinex D for a week and see if that helps.

I'm hoping it does but has anyone else ever experienced this?? It came out of no where and I have absolutely no other symptoms of any kind.

My therapist said it could be anxiety related but I don't think so because I am much much calmer now than 5 weeks ago when I started back on my anxiety meds....plus I have never experienced this pressure anytime in the past.

Any ideas??

Did the allergist order any tests to rule out sinus infection? My ENT keeps insisting I don't have infection, but sent me to neurologist who ordered brain MRI which showed yet another infection. Every time I get a CT or MRI of the head it shows infection. Antibiotics clear it up for a few weeks and then it comes back. I've had it since my nose was broken in a wrck 3 years ago.

I had the sinus opening surgery, but that didn't help and now I have a chronically dripping nose.

Diflucan, ordered to kill off fungus or yeast, hasn't worked at all and gives me nausea and stomach pain.

Mucinex 12-hour helps thin mucus so lungs can clear it, also relieves congestion in sinuses. Instant release ingredient only lasts a few minutes for me, not much help.

I rinse twice a day with a little relief for an hour or so. It doesn't cure the infection, even when antibiotic is added. I suspect a plaque.
