underarm rash

about 2 months  I started itching so bad under my left arm right at the crease, I finally put hydrocortisone cream and the itch stopped. A few weeks later I noticed I have 3 what looks like scratch marks  at the same place . I tried hydrocortisone  for a few days, than  tried another cream that my DR. had given  for a leg rash, it did nothing I was afraid to keep using it because it is very strong stuff. I checked the internet and it looks like contact dermatitis.

I had changed deodorant but changed back. Not using any in that arm at all right now.

Can this still  the rash I have no itching burning,nothing but the red streaks. Any input as to my question and what to put on the area would be appreciated

A baking soda paste may help soothe the itch/rash.

Also, look for fragrance free deodorant - and avoid antiperspirants.

Might also try Calendula Gel topically on the rash. It is a homeopathic gel that helps with a wide variety of skin problems.

The itching stopped that same night as it started after I put the hydrocortisone cream on, just have those sort of looking red scratch marks. Looks like a rash of some sort but no more itching.
