Nasal Polyps

I am 59 years old and have had severe sinus disease for about 30 years. I also have severe asthma. My allergies are so bad that I get nasal. The nasal polyps are so severe that I have them removed about every seven years. I have had them removed about six times and am looking at number seven. my ENT just put me on a course of steroids which really didn't do much. Helped my arthritis, but not my sinuses! Has anyone else had this much difficulty with nasal polyps? I am really tired of not breathing, not sleeping, no sense of smell, and having surgery. HELP!

Alice, thank you. No one seems to know what to do with me. I'm going for a cat scan on Monday to see how bad things are. Bt my ENT thinks that after a major dose of steroids that the polyps are attached to my septum and that might be what's annoying me. The maxillary sinuses looked clean. Who knows. It's been such an ongoing problem, I'm used to it. Maybe someday someone will be able to figure it all out! Thanks again.
