Good luck Joan, on getting dug out. I'm ice-bound and if I want to get untrapped I have to find someone to spread some sand or do it myself. Yeah, right! The main roads are OK, but I'm at the top of the hill on a private drive about 1/4 mile from the mailboxes where I have a man keeping the area clear for the mail drivers.

I went outside this morning to feed the turkeys and had to sprinkle corn on my path to keep myself from falling. With everything covered with ice, the poor birds depend on me and jump out of the old oaks and run down to me when they see food. I hope it warms up soon. There about 40 to 50 of them. Some are getting quite tame.

I was hoping the ice would soften so I can take the tractor and push it off some, but it got very cold and we had more sleet and freezing rain last night.

Well I never did get "well". What can I say. Came down with a gastro-intestinal mess a while back and it is very bad now. Am trying to eat "calm" food. Then had headaches from sinus and stuffy nose and don't know if it is a virus or molds.

February our average temp was 12 and that is not including wind chill factor. Too cold for snow and possibly the molds are in full bloom. Or it is another virus, uugghhh.

Am tired of this and arthritis pain and the rest of it but what can you do.
