Allergies or Headache?

Hello All,

I was hoping to just get some quick insight in regards to handling some issues I have been having lately. Approx. 3 weeks ago I broke out in hives all over my body. I was given a prednisone taper by my PCP which I completed and the hives are now starting to fade away. Then 2 weeks ago (exactly one week after the hives popped up) I started having a dull constant headache between my eyes and on my eyebrows. Along with the dull headache I have some wooziness (that off balance feeling) at times, tingling in my teeth at times, along with some very minimal light sensitivity at times as well. The headache is very dull and never goes away regardless of what I try. I do get some relief from the netipot and warm compress over my face Also, my nose has been very dry and is bleeding throughout the day. I do not have any congestion or a runny nose.

I went to an ENT yesterday as I though I might have a sinus infection, but his exam came back normal for any infection. He said he was not sure what the cause was and perhaps I should see a neurologist. To me it feels like allergies but the normal exam by the ENT really makes me wonder.

I had allergy testing done back in 2012 and it showed that I was severely allergic to dust. I do live in the Northeast US and the last few weeks have been very cold and dry. I also take a generic Claritin on a daily basis due to the allergies.

I was wondering if any of my fellow allergy suffers have experienced similar problems? Does this sound related to allergies or headache/nerve issue?

I have a follow up with my PCP in a week and I am just trying to figure out where to go next. I don't know if I should see a neurologist or perhaps see an allergist in an attempt to control my dust allergy assuming that is what is causing this.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.
