You didn't mention what you do for your rhinitis and whether you see an allergist.
I would see an allergist. You need to be tested or re-tested for allergies. My allergist says it's necessary to be re-tested every 3 years because allergies change over time.
Skin conditions and all sorts of other reactions can be from allergy to foods, things in the air, not just germs on your work table. You may need to try antihistamines if you aren't already taking them.
I am often telling people to try keeping a food journal to find out if they have food intolerances. (Put the term in the search box at the top of the page.) In your case, since your reaction may only show up on your skin which can take days, you'll have to avoid groups of foods for a week or so at a time before eating them again.
You might try avoiding citrus for a week, then the next week try avoiding tomatoes, potatoes and other Solanaceae family (nightshade). Then maybe legumes (beans and peas). Look up the families to get the whole group!
The common food triggers causing skin reactions are shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, eggs, and wheat. But you might also end up finding harder-to-identify things like additives such as coloring, MSG, artificial sweeteners, or sulfites or other preservatives.
Your allergist can do a skin test that might help identify your trigger(s) if your reaction is histamine related, but food journal and avoidance is free and you can start while you are waiting for your appointment.
