another bad reaction to medicine

have been waking up with these gout like symptoms so my podiatrist recommended something. think this drug gave me very bad gastrointestinal problems and very bad gas.

am tired of not having "normal" reactions to medicines. am not "at home" here psychologically. upstate new york is not as up to date in their thinking as new york city, my home town.

tired of fighting against the flow
feel bummed out

What was the drug? It's helpful to others.

My pain doc gave me lactulose for my constipation. Stupidly, I took some before looking it up. It's made from lactose and I'm lactose intolerant. I should have taken note of the name!

I can get rid of my constipation if I just buy a cup of coffee with milk or half and half. Of course this isn't a fun way of getting my gut moving. Gas hurts!

I threw it out and I don't remember the name. Sorry am quite beat from gout and gas pains.

It was one 0.6 colchicine three times a day. Was only able to tolerate it once a day. And this is a big AND it takes a while for these allergic reactions to go away and it can take years.

I find being allergic to medicine VERY bad.
