I have extreme asthma attacks in the morning as soon as I awake, does anyone have the same and any suggestions.

No, happily I don't have the same symptoms. First of all, you should really talk with your doctor. You might be allergic to something in the bedroom, like a feather pillow or animals snuggling up to you. In that case, you can change thing around to amerliorate your problems. You probably need to take more medicine. Asthma attacks are very serious. Best of luck.

I agree with Joan, but its possible it could be dust mites. They have special covers for mattresses and pillows that certainly have helped me. I went to an allergist to find out that I am allergic to cats, dust mites, mold, mildow, yadada -- at the end of the visit I asked why I could be around certain things that I was highly allergic to, but had no reaction; and other things that didn't even show up on his chart that drove me absolutely crazy. The dr. smiled and shrugged. I left with the uncomfortable feeling that its all voodoo science, but what the heck, we don't have any better alternatives than getting tested at this point.

Ironically, I can now go to bed sightly asthmatic and wake up feeling better...

i do everyday that i wake up i wake up to asthma attacks. What usually helps me is taking my nebulizer befor i go to bed and taking my inhaler or my nebulizer sometime through the night. Sometimes the asthma attacks can't be prevented. But even if you dont have an asthma attack in the morning as soon as you wake up you should always take your inhaler or whatever meds you are taking. Anyway i hope i could help if u have any more questions i'll be here.

have a humidifier or ioniser in your room and if not your window slightly open and try using a cisca saltpipe as soon as u get up
