Hello. I have for the past two months been having trouble breathing. I am currently in the military where PT is something I do on a regular basis. However, recently I have become winded just walking up a flight of stairs, or doing any type of activity. When I run I feel like I cannot pass through any air. I can usually only run for about
5 minutes until I need to stop, and catch my breath. I just know it is not normal for someone who is in physical shape to suffer from shortness of breath that easily. Well, I recently have taken a pulmonary test, which the doctor said my breathing was little below normal, but it seemed okay for someone my age. He did say however that the albuterol they were giving me was helping, because my breathing was at normal on the PFT once they gave me the medicine. I took another PFT yesterday by another doctor, and he stated that breathing was perfectly normal as well. He did however state that sometimes irregular breathing patterns will not showup until sometime later.
I just wanted to know what else I could do, because I just have a feeling it is asthma, because I do not have any other medical problems. However, the doctors have stated that the tests are perfectly fine, but I am still out of breath, and even is even getting to the point that even power walking is causing me to be out of breath quickly.
Please help me.
