Exhausted and terrible fatigue with asthma

I am a 20 year old guy who has very bad asthma. I think the overall most horrible symptom is terrible fatigue. I can hardly do anything without feeling exhausted. I can not walk down to the mailbox and back without my heart racing and being short of breath and getting VERY tired. My symptoms are as follows,

Fatigue, tight chest, shortness of breath,chest pain, pain in the upper back, chronic cough, and many lung infections.

Also i am kind of a special case in my area because asthma weakened my lungs so much that i had a lung collapse 2 years ago and I was told that it was a good thing I got there when I did or I would have died in a few hours. They did emergency surgery on me in a room full of patients....poor them. Trust me you will know if you have a lung collapse. That was the worst pain i have ever felt.....then again the chest tube that they put in you for 6 days is a little worse. I was also hospitalized this year for 2 days because of asthma. My pulse was consistently over 120 and it peaked at 147.

Well asthma has basically ruined the quality of my life. I am on 6 meds every day. Also I have chronic sinusitis which drains down into the lungs which makes it worse.....as does my acid reflux.....You all are not alone in your fight.

Also find out if there is a treatment for your sinus problem.

My pulmonologist said to treat asthma effectively you have to address both the sinuses (if a problem) and the lungs.

A friend of mine in California just had his lung collapse twice. I hope he is doing ok.
