plagued by Chronic Uticaria for the last 6 years

I have been plagued by Chronic Uticaria for the last 6 years. I have given up an active lifestyle and the love of the outdoors for a semi-sedintary one and I am not the least bit happy about it. I have had a tremendous amount of stress in my previous life, but no hives. Now the only stress I have comes from the HIVES. Last month I attempted to hike on the slopes of Mt. Rainier (on vacation), it was 45 degrees and within an hour I was having a bout with Angioedema (my tongue was swollen). I am taking antihistamines, but still get hives whether they itch or not. I have been to my primary Dr. and to a Dermatologist but, since I have no insurance, and no deep pockets, their hands are tied. I have a multitude of other symptoms, that they overlook, that could be tied to a parathyroid problem, or whatever. The last blood test done months ago showed nothing out of the ordinary. I guess I will have to learn to live with the Hives and hope the other symptoms don't get worse...I was hoping to get into this remarkable support group here and I hope you'all are still out there somewhere. I was interested in the homeopathic treatments that were being tauted as helpful.
