I have asthma too, and for me, the thing that give me the biggest chance for a attack, is STRESS!!!
there are many things to do, but for a 1st thing, i want to assure you, that this will not last forever,
ive had paranoia like that before, and it eventually fades, so soon it will not be as intense,
i would recommend seeing a phycologist, you may have a pain/anxiety problem, and that is hard to take care of alone,
but in the end, its all about you and controlling your mind, which at sometimes may seem nearly impossible, i know
when i first got asthma, i was literally taking my emergency inhailor every day for months
but i slowly, eventually started to mellow out, that and the awsome asthma specialist that really calmed me down, is a big help
i think you really need to tell your doctor how you feel, and if you truly feel like its that much of a bother, then ask your doctor for some kind of sedative for times you feel yourself starting to freak out,
i think that if hes feeling you need to be hospitalised, its time to take some time off work, and get your health in order, its not going to get better untill you really work on it
i also know there are some medications that you can take daily that are anti-anxiety pills, that may help as well, but that is for sure your doctors responsability to bring that up in the first place, so if he hasent already
YOU SHOULD!! its your stress factor after all, and im glad your coming on here and taking some responsability for bettering you health. but i really think, if you took a week or 2 off, took bubble baths all day, took some sedatives, and just really mellowed out, it would help alot, it helped me, so trust me, dont try to do everything, if its killing you, good luck, and let us know what you end up doing
